Chinese Hospice

Chinese Hospice

Dianne Fukami produced this video for the Chinese Community Health Resource Center in San Francisco.  The goal was to show terminally ill Chinese patients an option their final days before passing.  Traditionally, Chinese people are superstitious about dying in their homes.  This video shows how Hospice care can help patients die with dignity and comfort in their home.

“Hospice” was originally produced in Cantonese.  It was also dubbed in Mandarin and English, and English sub-titles were created so the adult children of the Hospice patients could watch it with their Chinese-speaking parents.
